Furry Tails: Being Immortalized In Wax… I Hate It
The adorable grumpy face that's inspired endless Internet memes is about to get her own wax figure.
That's right; Madame Tussauds has announced they are creating an animatronic figure in the likeness of the one and only cranky, blue-eyed feline, Grumpy Cat.
Madame Tussauds says Grumpy Cat's likeness will have five different movements, and will tour their six wax museums across the United States.
She's the "first-ever cat to be immortalized in the attraction's history."
It will be unveiled later this year at the Madame Tussauds in San Francisco and then make stops at the five other locations.
"This is truly an honor…" said a distinctly unimpressed Grumpy Cat in a press release. "I hate it."
Grumpy Cat got her start on social media site, Reddit, in 2012. Her real name is "Tardar Sauce." According to her website, her petite size can be attributed to a form of feline dwarfism, but she's a perfectly healthy kitty.
The grouchy-faced girl's photos quickly went viral and has since inspired countless Internet memes and videos, her own website, merchandise, brand, a made-for-TV Christmas movie and so much more. She's also become a spokeskitty for Friskies.
And now this, her very own wax figure. A sign she's truly made it in Hollywood.
I'm sure she's thrilled… well, maybe not!
