Freedom Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident
HANOVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- One person was killed and two others were injured after a motorcycle crash in Beaver County.
James Claar, 32, of Freedom, wrecked his motorcycle after rounding a curve on westbound State Route 30 in Hanover Township around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Claar was thrown off his bike when it hit a utility pole.
Investigators say debris from the crash caused 32-year-old Theodore Wesling, of Turtle Creek, to lose control, throwing him and his passenger, Nicole Toma, of Midland, off the motorcycle.
They weren't seriously injured.
State police say they believe Claar was speeding at the time of the accident.
All three people involved in the accident were wearing helmets.
