Fraternity Suspended From CMU During Investigation
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Carnegie Mellon University has suspended a fraternity while police investigate claims that sexually explicit videos and pictures were taken in the fraternity house and shared among members.
Beta Theta Pi is suspended indefinitely.
"Although I am mindful not to presume guilt while the investigation is still in progress, I was shocked and deeply disappointed when I learned about these allegations," University President Jared L. Cohon said in a statement.
University officials say they're still trying to determine how and when the images were taken, but they say at this point, it appears to involve a small number of people.
