Road Rage Confrontation Sends Man In His 70s To Hospital
FRANKLIN PARK (KDKA) -- Police in the Borough of Franklin Park are looking for the driver a dark colored SUV who was involved in a violent road rage incident late Friday afternoon.
The face-to-face confrontation happened on Brandt School Road, where it intersects Rt. 910.
"It started, and continued down Brandt School Road, when the two vehicles stopped at a traffic signal, there was a confrontation, it got physical, and the driver of the SUV got out of his car, and shoved the unidentified elderly driver to the pavement after the elderly driver exited his car, and approached him," Franklin Park Police Sgt. Sam Snyder said.
The older driver is now hospitalized with what police call a serious head injury. Sgt. Snyder said the driver they're looking for is between 35-40 years old, white, and he was dressed in a business suit at the time of the encounter.
Police have a partial plate number of the SUV, and investigators are working with Penn DOT to try to identify the suspect driver.
"It's just a matter of time until we identify the owner of the vehicle; if they are involved, and what to give us their side of the story, we're asking they come forward and contact us," Snyder said.
Franklin Park Borough Police ask anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information to call 412-364-1227.
