Fort Pitt Museum Offers Free Admission For Military
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Fort Pitt Museum will offer special activities and free admission for active and retired servicemen and women this weekend.
Part of the museum's festivities will include colonial reenactors, who will demonstrate musket firing that was used at Fort Pitt in the 18th century. Docents will be available for free tours as well.
The museum is also pairing with Operation Troop Appreciation to take donations for supplies such as toothpaste, deodorant and batteries to send to troops.
Visitors can also write thank you cards that will be sent to local military in Pittsburgh-area VA hospitals.
The price of admission to the museum for non-service members is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
