Former Steelers' Kicker Jeff Reed Talks Kicking In Super Bowls, Time With 49ers
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Former Steelers' kicker Jeff Reed joined Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN to tell us about his efforts to get back into the league, kicking in the Super Bowl and what it was like playing for the San Francisco 49ers back in 2010.
Reed is still trying to get back into the league and told us that he's waking up Monday through Thursday at 5 a.m. and working out to make sure he's ready when that phone call comes.
Back in 2010, Reed was kicking for the 49ers in a season that they went 6-10 that year.
Reed told us that a lot of guys that were on that team are still playing for the team today, and added that then head coach Mike Singletary didn't know how to get the most out of his team, something Jim Harbaugh clearly found a way to do.
We wrapped things up with Reed asking him if he had any regrets about his time here in Pittsburgh and how it came to an end.
