Former PSU LB Shares Memories Of Paterno
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Shane Conlan, Penn State Linebacker from 1982-86 and winner two National Championships, joined The Fan Morning Show on Monday to share his memories of Joe Paterno.
Shane shared a memory of Joe from his freshman year when he quit on a play because he thought his opposition was injured, but ended up getting burned for a touchdown in practice.
Joe saw the play from three practice fields away and stormed across the fields to chew Shane out. But, Shane realized after the fact that Joe was not only sending a message to him, but to all of the freshmen on the team to never give up on a play.
