Former Pitt Players Talk NFL Combine & Sports Illustrated Article
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Jabaal Sheard, Jason Pinkston and Henry Hynoski joined Seibel, Starkey, and Miller on SportsRadio 93-7 The FAN to talk about their NFL Combine experience, as well as the off-the-field issues currently surrounding the program as pointed out in the Sports Illustrated/CBS News Investigation.
The Sports Illustrated article had a large picture of Jabaal Sheard in it when viewed online, and he told us whether or not he thought the way he was portrayed was fair. Jabaal was hoping that the incident was behind him, and also gave his story of what happened on the night in question.
Getting to his performance at The Combine, Jabaal said he was hoping to run a 4.5 40-yard dash, but ran a 4.6 and is hoping to improve upon that at his Pro Day. While the topic of his Pro Day came up, Jabaal said he will run some linebacker drills that day in order to show that he can play in either a 4-3 or 3-4 defense.

Jason Pinkston talked about the Sports Illustrated article and said you never want that kind of negative attention, and there are a lot of good kids at the University of Pittsburgh.
When it came to discussing his Combine experience, Jason said he performed well in most of the drills, but his 40-yard dash time was slower than he would have liked. Also, he banged up his back a little bit, but it all has motivated him improve himself and be ready for his pro day.
Jason also informed us of the teams that he has interviewed with so far, and says he got the best feel from the Denver Broncos as a team that might be interested in drafting him.

Henry Hynoski talked mostly with the guys about the upcoming NFL Draft and his expectations for what he'll be doing after it, as well as his Combine experience. Henry said the Combine was a wonderful experience, but it wasn't what he expected, saying most of it was medical check-ups and team interviews.
Henry also had to go through some psychological tests and told us about one particularly odd questions he had to answer.
Henry wrapped things up by talking about playing H-back in the NFL and hearing from different coaches that they love that he's a four-dimensional player, meaning he can run the ball, block, catch and play special teams.
