Former Penguin Peter Taglianetti Helps Preview Alumni Winter Classic Game
Peter Taglianetti joined John Seibel on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to discuss the upcoming Penguins-Capitals Winter Classic Alumni Game and the Powerade ION 4 Hockey Happy Hour Presented by Nationwide Insurance that will be held at the North Shore Saloon on Dec. 30 which will bring the alumni from both teams together.
Peter talked about what it has been like getting back on the ice with some of the guys he used to play with including Mario Lemieux. According to Peter, Lemieux may have slowed down a bit, but his hands are as good as ever and he can still score at will.
Current Penguins Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang are having great seasons so far, and Peter talked about each player. On Crosby, Peter said he's witnessing a young man who has already taken over the league, which is even more impressive considering he also has to be the face of the league. On Letang, Peter sees a player that has stepped up his game physically, which in turn keeps guys off of him, opening him up for more scoring chances.
