Former Employee Helps Himself To Lottery Tickets
CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) - Police used a hidden camera to catch the former employee of a western Pennsylvania cigarette store stealing smokes and lottery tickets - and say he's acknowledged doing the same thing 14 times in the last month.
Online court records don't list an attorney for 23-year-old Raymond Forrester, of North Fayette Township, who also doesn't have a listed phone.
Moon Township police put three hidden cameras in the Smokes Stack store on Monday after the owner reported stolen lottery tickets and other items.
Police found Forrester coming out of the store Wednesday when they responded to a silent alarm, and he told them he was an employee and had stopped to pick up his phone charger.
But the owner says Forrester no longer works there - and the camera showed him stealing $1,100 worth of lottery tickets.
