Winter Classic Delayed
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - The 2011 Winter Classic will be delayed due to some wet weather expected to move into the Pittsburgh area.
NHL officials say the game will start at 8 p.m. Saturday. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The parking lots at Heinz Field will open at 2:30 p.m. and Spectator Plaza will open at 3 p.m.
Pre-game entertainment will start at 7:30 p.m.
The forecast calls for a breezy, rainy day with moderate temperatures in the low 50s for the Washington Capitals-Pittsburgh Penguins outdoor game at Heinz Field.
The Associated Press is reporting that rain appears in each hour of the forecast until 7 p.m. It includes a possible eight-tenths of an inch of rain.
