Flyers' Shelley To Miss Game Against Pens
TORONTO (KDKA/AP) — Philadelphia Flyers forward Jody Shelley will miss tonight's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins after being suspending by the NHL.
The NHL suspended Shelley for two games and he will forfeit approximately $12,000 in salary after hitting Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid from behind.
McQuaid was shoved into the boards, and just avoided hitting his head. McQuaid stayed down but returned to the ice.
Shelley was given a five minute major and a game misconduct.
