Rapidly Rising River Closes Mon Wharf
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The rivers around Pittsburgh are on the rise and the Mon Wharf is closed as a result.
According to the National Weather Service, the Ohio River was at 19.42 feet. It is expected to crest at 21.3 feet Thursday morning.
The Mon Wharf begins to take on water at 18 feet and was closed at 8 a.m.
Drivers who parked in the lot before 8 a.m. are being advised to move their vehicle as soon as possible.
Motorists can use the First Avenue Garage and the Second Avenue Plaza as an alternative.
