Flood Warnings Issued For Parts Of Area
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – While the rain is expected to move out in time for Thanksgiving, several flood warnings have already been issued.
Flood Warnings continue to fly for Allegheny, Fayette, Monongalia, Washington and Westmoreland Counties due to as much as two-and-a-half inches of rain that has fallen over the last 24 hours.
According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, it does not appear that there will be major flooding and the main concerns are along the Mon River at Elizabeth and near Charleroi.
Anyone with property interests in those areas should keep a close eye on rising waters.
Flooding concerns caused the Mon Wharf parking lot in Pittsburgh to close on Wednesday as well.

Otherwise, gradual clearing is expected as we head through the evening.
Blustery winds will diminish for the evening and the low will be a chilly 34 degrees.
For Thanksgiving, Bowman expects it to be a beautiful day. After a cold start, there will be lots of sunshine and a high near 53 degrees.
Warmer weather can also be expected on Friday and Saturday with lots of sunshine and temperatures near 60 degrees both days.
