Flood Warning In Effect
DOWNTOWN (KDKA) -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for parts of the Pittsburgh area.
The Pittsburgh Parking Authority has closed the Mon Wharf which is now taking on water from the Monongahela River.
Forecasters expect water from the Allegheny River to reach the 10th Street Bypass around sunrise Tuesday.
They do not expect the Parkway Central or "bathtub" to start to flood until Tuesday evening rush hour.
The North Shore River Walk will begin to flood overnight.
Drivers should be extra cautious while it's still dark because it's harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
