Flash Flood Watch In Effect For Areas South Of Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Depending on where you live, rain may impact your Fourth of July plans.
According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Ron Smiley, rain showers and storms are likely to be seen in areas south of Pittsburgh. The best chance for rain will be during the afternoon and overnight hours.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 8 a.m. Tuesday for parts of West Virginia and Maryland. Those areas could see up to 3 inches of rain.
In Pennsylvania, areas south of Interstate 70 can expect to see up to three-quarters of an inch of rain.
As for the city and areas to the north, a scattered shower cannot be ruled out.
Once the rain moves out, temperatures will soar.
It could reach 90 degrees on Wednesday with highs remaining there through Saturday. A cold front is expected to move through on Saturday, which could bring some rain and storms.
