Firefighter Hurt, Home Damaged In Bloomfield Fire
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A home was damaged and two people were treated for injuries following a fire early Sunday morning in Bloomfield.
The blaze broke out just before 5:20 a.m. in the 300-block of Ella Street. Crews were able to bring it under control around 7 a.m.
Officials say a firefighter suffered burns to his hands. According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh-Post-Gazette, he was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital for treatment.
Another person was treated for smoke inhalation. Both are expected to be fine.
The Red Cross is helping three adults and three children following the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
