FDA Bans Chemical Found In Pizza Boxes
(KDKA) - Bad news for pizza fans.
The Food and Drug Administration has announced it is ready to ban three substances that are "used as oil and water repellants for paper and paperboard for use in contact with aqueous and fatty foods."
Translation: chemicals that keep pizza grease from leaking out of the box.

The FDA says that "there is no longer a reasonable uncertainty of no harm from the food contact use" of the substances. Part of the danger includes the accumulation of chemicals the body isn't able to remove completely.
