FBI Releases Picture Of Citizens Bank Robber
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man wanted in connection with a bank robbery Monday afternoon, is also connected to another bank robbery last week.
Monday's robbery happened at the Citizens Bank in the Giant Eagle at the Waterworks Mall around 2:30 p.m.
He handed the teller a note demanding money. Once the teller complied, he exited the bank and changed his clothes at a Chili's restaurant nearby before fleeing the area.
According to the FBI, on Oct. 14, the same man robbed the Citizens Bank at the Giant Eagle on McKnight Road in McCandless.
Again, the suspect handed the teller a note to demand money. The teller complied and he fled the scene.
In both cases, no one was hurt and no weapon was shown.
The robber is described as a white male between the ages of 20 and 30. He is about 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.
"We believe this individual may be from out of town for two reasons. Number one, intelligence we received, and number two, he doesn't take any steps to conceal his face.
"So, there are indications he may be from out of town and there are indications that if he's going to hit again he may hit in the North Hills area. That seems to be an area of familiarization for him. So, we're concerned that he may strike again in the North Hills area," FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (412)-432-4000.
