FBI, Police Raid Bridgeville Spa Allegedly Used For Prostitution
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Bridgeville and Allegheny County Police, along with the FBI, Tuesday dismantled an alleged house of prostitution.
It was at a spa in the 600-block of Washington Avenue, in Bridgeville's business district.
Three Korean-American women were arrested on prostitution related charges.
Bridgeville Police Chief Chad King told KDKA-TV that the 88 Spa opened up in late 2011 and shortly thereafter, police started getting complaints about what was reportedly going on inside.
King said the woman not only worked in the Spa, but lived there as well.
"The building was never zoned for overnight accommodations, these [three] women were staying there, sleeping there, eating there and residing there," King said.
Police confiscated massage tables, surveillance cameras, a stove refrigerator, a sewing machine and numerous other items.
King said Tuesday "this was a cash only organization, we found hidden compartment in the wall, one of which contained over $2,000 in cash."
In the police criminal complaint, investigators said the three women arrested Tuesday wanted to leave Pennsylvania and not return.
