FBI Agents Remove Documents From Police Headquarters
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – FBI agents removed boxes of documents from the Pittsburgh police headquarters Tuesday afternoon.
KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin watched 3 FBI agents carry at least 8 boxes of documents from the building. We're told that those documents were in response to possible misappropriation of money from the department that deals with special events.
City Controller Michael Lamb will also be at the department tomorrow looking for more documents.
A federal grand jury has been investigating Chief Harper for possible corruption.
Arthur Bedway, who is already facing federal bribery, conspiracy and fraud charges, allegedly testified that Harper approached him about the idea of a sham company.
Both men allegedly discussed an opportunity to install computers and radios in police cars.
Bedway is the founder of Victory Security, one of the region's largest private security providers.
A former Pittsburgh City employee has already plead guilty to conspiracy in the case. The former employee admitted the accepting two $3,000 bribes.

Sources also say that Chief Harper has been interviewed by the FBI several times.
Sources indicate Harper told federal authorities he did nothing wrong. Harper has not been charged with any crime.
No comment regarding the investigation from the City of Pittsburgh, the US Attorney's office or Nate Harper's attorneys.
