FBI: 2 Suspects In Ross Twp. Bank Robbery Should Be Considered Armed, Dangerous
ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- The FBI and Ross Township Police are looking for two suspects following a bank robbery Friday morning.
Authorities say the two men should be considered armed and dangerous.
According to the FBI, the robbery happened around 9:15 a.m. at the First Niagara Bank on Babcock Boulevard.
There were no customers inside when the suspects entered, just employees, about half a dozen of them.
Ross Township Police Detective Brian Kohlhepp says the two men walked inside the bank armed and ready.
"Both males were armed with handguns and they fled in a newer-model, four-door gray Toyota Corolla," said Det. Kohlhepp. "The males are described as white males, both about five-eight to five-nine."
No one was hurt, but one of the robbers did leap over the counter.
"They communicated verbally only and stated this was a robbery," Det. Kohlhepp said.
The first suspect had a medium build and was last seen wearing a dark-blue Pitt sweatshirt and dark-blue sweatpants with gold writing going down one leg.
The second suspect had a larger build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask and a hat.
Police and the FBI are investigating. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading arrests in the case.
Police say they do have some leads.
