Fayette Co. Crash Leaves 1 Person Dead
PERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- One person was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Fayette County Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened on Barneys Road near Cope Road in Perry Township around 3:15 p.m.
State police identify the victim as 81-year-old Harold Lester of Fayette City.
According to officials, Lester was headed westbound when he lost control of his vehicle making a left turn. The car hit a fence and ended up in a ditch on the side of the road.
Police say he may have been driving too fast for conditions.
State Police are investigating the accident.
