Fatal Home Invasion Suspect Arrested On Other Charges
KNOXVILLE (KDKA) – A man wanted in connection with a murder in Knoxville was arrested Friday night on other charges.
According to police, an arrest warrant had been obtained for 19-year-old Jerod Cager in the death of Antwan Leake, 19, on Aug. 14.
Cager was arrested Friday night during a traffic stop near the intersection of Allegheny and Ridge Avenues.
Police found two firearms, a plastic bag with 2,444 stamp bags of heroin and over $500 in cash in the vehicle.
One of the guns had been reported stolen.
Cager has been charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and other firearms charges.
Leake was shot to death during an apparent home invasion in the 300-block of Rochelle Street.
Cager is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
