Fatal Hill District Shooting Investigated
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The investigation into a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 24-year-old late Wednesday night in the Hill District continues.
According to Pittsburgh police, officers were called to the 2400-block of Bedford Avenue just after 10:20 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
Investigators say the victim, identified as Montrel Green of Pittsburgh, was found lying in the courtyard with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was pronounced dead at the scene just before 10:30 p.m.
Pittsburgh police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
Authorities searched the area following the shooting, but no arrests have been made.
