Fans Concerned With Steelers' 0-3 Start To Season

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Some Pittsburgh Steelers fans are ready to throw in the Terrible Towel after last night's discouraging 40-23 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Others say they're supporting the black and gold until to the end.

Like many restaurants, fans came to Eggs-R-Us thinking about bacon, eggs, pancakes and what happened to the Steelers last night.

"I couldn't take it. I couldn't take it. I get into the Steelers and they were letting me down last night," Manager Lisa Pasqualino

"It's really up to our rookies and they're not doing it for us. I'm pretty scared," Kody Bennington said.

Things went downhill for the Steelers not long after the offense touched the ball. The Bears built a 17-0 lead in the first quarter and went up 24-10 at halftime forcing some folks to turn off the television.

"I didn't think very much of it. I don't even know what they final score was," Jim Wilson said.

The Steelers managed to get back in the game and were down 27-23 in the fourth quarter. But once again, they were bitten by the turnover bug and allowed the Bears to put the game out of reach.

"It was sad. I was hopeful. I thought they were going to come back," Sharon Wilson said.

Now, the Steelers are 0-3 and are in last place in the AFC North. But, some fans aren't giving up on the black and gold.

"Normally, they kick butt in the beginning then they turn around and the bottom falls out. Well, maybe this year it's different They're going to lose everything then all of a sudden come halfway through the bottom rises up to the top level and they win," Jerry Markovitch said.

There's one word that causing great concern among fans and that's winning.

If the Steelers lose when they play the Minnesota Vikings in London next week, they will be 0-4 and off to their worst start in 45 years.
