Fan Morning Show Arrives In Bradenton For Spring Training
BRADENTON, Fla. (93-7 The Fan) - The Fan Morning Show arrived in Bradenton Sunday just in time to catch the Pirates' Spring Training home opener.
What we saw was the same thing we saw much of last year - James McDonald having a shaky first inning and then a solid effort the next inning.
McDonald threw 21 pitches in the first but did not yield a hit or a run.
We also saw a team that found just enough offense to win a game and that offense came from the bat of SS Clint Barmes, who may be the nicest guy ever, but Pirates fans don't want to hear that.
They want to hear that he will be better than last year.
Barmes reflected on last year and the collapse with the Fan Morning Show, which you can hear here:
Say what you want about Barmes, but he is a tough guy not to root for.
The Fan Morning Show will be broadcasting LIVE all week from Bradenton. We will be joined by a number of Pirates players and coaches all week. So, wake up with us. 5:40 a.m. to 10 a.m.
