Fallingwater Ancillary Building Burglarized Over The Weekend
MILL RUN (KDKA) – Uniontown police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Fallingwater ancillary building over the weekend.
According to police, the suspect forced entry into a building on Mill Run Road located almost a mile away from the Fallingwater residence. The suspect broke in through a first floor window on Saturday evening, and while in the house, performed acts of criminal mischief.
The Western PA Conservancy reported that the suspect moved some mattresses around, as the building is used to lodge educators who are visiting the area.
The burglar then fled the scene on foot and retreated to the Laurel Highland Trails, state police reported.
The building was unoccupied at the time.
Fallingwater is hailed as a modern wonder of organic architecture, built partly over a waterfall and designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935. You can visit Fallingwater's website here.
