Errey On Bylsma, 'Got To Get Everybody On The Same Page, And They Weren't'
PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)--The Penguins season came to an abrupt end, being swept out of the Eastern Conference Finals by the Boston Bruins. To recap the series, and the season, the Fan Morning Show talked to ROOT Sports Color Analyst, and former Penguin, Bob Errey.
Dan Bylsma may be the biggest question mark, as to whether or not he will be the coach next season. Bylsma's teams have now underperformed for four straight post-seasons.
"He's got to get everybody on the same page," Errey said. "And they weren't."
One of the main reasons the team lost was a lack of offensive production against the Bruins defense and Tuukka Rask. Bob tells us that the team was not willing to go to the dirty area in front of the net.
"They didn't bump him, they didn't bruise him," Errey tells us of Rask.
"Dan Bylsma did not think Marc-Andre Fleury was his franchise goaltender because he didn't play him," Errey said in response to the coach telling the media that Fleury will be next year's starter.
Roster changes are on the horizon, and Ray Shero will have to make some difficult moves. Bob gives us his ideas on who the Penguins should keep, who they should let go, and if there will be any trades.
