Belle Vernon native Eric McElvenny earns ninth-place triathlon finish at 2024 Paralympics
PARIS (KDKA) -- Belle Vernon native and retired Marine officer Eric McElvenny was in action on Monday for Team USA at the Paralympics. McElvenny participated in the triathlon, securing ninth place.
McElvenny lost part of his right leg due to an IED while serving in Afghanistan.
He now lives in Bethel Park.
