Emergency Dispatcher Fired Over 911 Call Leak

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A 911 center employee has been fired for giving the media copies of a call made by a Pennsylvania woman who police say forcibly submerged two of her children underwater, drowning one and causing fatal injury to the other.

Allegheny County Emergency Services Chief Alvin Henderson says the unidentified employee was terminated Friday because policies prohibit disclosing 911 calls or transcripts.

Detectives allege 40-year-old Laurel Michelle Schlemmer told them she tried to drown both boys after another son left for school.

She told detectives she heard "crazy voices" telling her to push her sons underwater before she sat on them.

Schlemmer is jailed on criminal homicide and other charges in the death of her 3-year-old son, Luke.

Six-year-old Daniel died Saturday. The charges against Schlemmer are expected to be amended.
