Elderly Couple Thankful For Repo Man With A Heart Of Gold
RED BUD, Ill. (KDKA) -- An elderly Illinois couple is sending thanks today after the repo man who took their car had a change of heart and helped them pay it off.
When 41-year-old Jim Ford arrived in Red Bud to repossess the vehicle, he was invited in by Stan and Pat Kippling. She's in her 70s and he's in his 80s.

"She's talking to me about how her prescriptions have all tripled in price. And on a fixed income, you can't do anything when something like that happens," Ford told CBS Chicago. "I drove about a block, and I called the bank. I said, 'Hey. How about if I just pay this thing current right now?'"
He ended up starting a GoFundMe account, which paid for the car in full within hours.
He's keeping the account open to help pay for the couple's prescription drugs.
