Ed Bouchette Breaks Down Steelers' Win

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ed Bouchette joined the Fan Morning Show Monday to break down the team's 13-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Bouchette agrees that there should be a big fine handed down to the Ravens' Jameel McClain for his hit on Heath Miller.

He also says that the officials for the game should also be reprimanded for not throwing a flag on that play as well as the hit to Ben Roethlisberger's head.

Bouchette disagrees with Paul Alexander on the play of the offensive line. He thinks the line gave Roethlisberger good pass protection.

Bouchette gave an update on some of the injured players from Sunday nights' game.

Troy Polamalu has been injured for a couple of weeks now and people were beginning to wonder if he is on a decline, but Bouchette thinks that talk will stop after Polamalu's performance the past two weeks.

Isaac Redman made the game winning touchdown and Bouchette was told earlier in the week the team is looking for a way to incorporate Redman more.

Bouchette thinks he needs to be used more than Rashard Mendenhall because he is a change of pace and a player that pounds the ball.

Bouchette also talked about the Steelers options for tight end after Miller suffered a concussion. He doesn't think the Steelers will go out and sign a free agent.
