Eagles Have "Strong Interest" In Ike Taylor
PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- Ike Taylor may play in the state of Pennsylvania next season, it just might not be for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Adam Caplan of Foxsports.com reports that the Philadelphia Eagles "will show strong interest" in Taylor when the lockout ends.
The Eagles would like to add a cornerback and the price tag on Nnamdi Asomugha will likely be too high.
Last season, Eagles head coach Andy Reid rotated Dmitri Patterson and Ellis Hobbs at the right cornerback spot.
Taylor has spent the first eight years of his career with the Steelers.
If Taylor were to leave, it would leave a huge hole in the Steelers secondary.
Johnathan Joseph (Cincinnati Bengals), Carlos Rogers (Washington Redskins), Antonio Cromartie (NY Jets), Brent Grimes (Atlanta Falcons), Chris Carr (Baltimore Ravens) and Josh Wilson (Baltimore Ravens) are the other top free agent cornerbacks.
