Dustin Jeffrey Discusses 2-Year Deal With Pens
PITTSBURGH (Sportsradio 93.7 The FAN) -Pittsburgh Penguins forward Dustin Jeffrey joined Seibel, Starkey, and Miller on Sportsradio 93.7 The FAN to talk about his recent contract and injury update.
Dustin Jeffrey started the interview talking about how "awesome" it was to sign a two-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins and that it was a no-brainer to play for this team. He says the Pens are such an appealing team to play for because players want to play for a winner.
When asked about the hole on the right wing, Jeffrey said if Bylsma wants him to play that position, he will do what is asked of him in order to contribute to the team, saying he has played both center and wing professionally in the past.
Jeffrey addresses his right knee injury and says he is healing fine and should be ready to get on the ice in a few weeks, certainly in time for camp.
Dustin Jeffrey ends the conversation talking about the disappointment among the guys in regards to losing in the first round of playoffs, but says the team including Sid, Geno, and himself will be back and recharged to make a run this upcoming season.
