Driver Hits Several Trees In Dense Fog, Dies
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The thick fog that has rolled in with warmer temperatures likely contributed to one death in Indiana County Saturday.
Officials say 20-year-old Thomas Wayne Kelgran was killed when he crashed his sport utility vehicle on Route 217 in Blacklick Township.
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 a.m. with the Indiana County 911 Center reporting heavy fog at the time.
Kelgran crashed after he drove off the road, hit several trees and was trapped in his car. He died of blunt force trauma to the head and chest.
It is not clear at this point if alcohol was a factor in any way.
