Driver Accused In Mt. Lebanon Hit & Run Headed To Trial
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A driver accused of hitting a woman crossing the street in Mount Lebanon last month is going to trial.
Anthony Flores, 49, of Beechview, waived his case to trial on hit-and-run charges during a hearing on Thursday.
Police say Flores, while on his way home from work, hit 28-year-old Rachelle Rundell with his SUV in October and didn't stop.
He turned himself in four days later.
Investigators located Flores' red Jeep Cherokee in the garage behind his home. Police say they believe he may have tried to cover and conceal the vehicle. The hood was clearly dented from the impact.
The victim suffered a concussion and two broken legs.
She was thrown 60 feet by the impact.
