Trump Calls Las Vegas Shooting 'Act Of Pure Evil'

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Donald Trump is calling the mass shooting attack in Las Vegas "an act of pure evil."
President Trump's remarks come after a gunman's attack on a Sunday night country music concert at least 59 people and wounded more than 500.
Trump says the nation is joined together today in sadness, shock and grief.
Earlier, Trump extended condolences to the victims and their families.
In a tweet, Trump offered "My warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting. God bless you!"

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump was "briefed on the horrific tragedy in Las Vegas."
Sanders said that "we are monitoring the situation closely and offer our full support to state and local officials. All of those affected are in our thoughts and prayers."
President Donald Trump has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff to honor the victims.
