Democrats Focus On Uniting Ahead Of DNC
PHILADELPHIA (KDKA) -- In sweltering heat, Democrats from across the nation arrived in Philadelphia on Sunday, one day before the kickoff of the Democratic National Convention.
That group included the Pennsylvanians who are staying in the Double Tree just south of City Hall.
Despite strong divisions in the party, unity was the theme.
"After last week in Cleveland, people saw even more reason why we need to come together, listening to the speeches of so many people, including the nominee himself," said Dan Gilman.
It's Donald Trump that unites Democrats, like Clinton delegate Dan Gilman and Sanders delegate Chuck Pascal.
"She obviously wasn't my first choice, but certainly in comparison to Donald Trump there is no choice in this election," Pascal said.

Democrats know it won't be easy.
"What's at stake is Donald Trump, and nobody can deny after watching that convention last week that we have a lot of work to do but it's well worth it," said Nancy Patton-Mills.
Pennsylvania has prime seating at the convention, due to its must-win status and because it is the host delegation.
Local delegates begin the week with a high sense of hope.
"I hope Democrats come out with a clear sense of what our vision is for the future, a clear understanding that Hillary Clinton is the person to lead this country for the next four to eight years," said Austin Davis.
