Dan Bylsma Is Working On Figuring Out New Line Combinations
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With the acquisition of forward Brenden Morrow and defenseman Douglas Murray, Dan Bylsma sees his lines as a "mix and match situation" until Evgeni Malkin gets healthy.
Bylsma joined Starkey, Miller and Mueller Monday to talk about how he plans on using his new players and what they'll bring to the team.
When it comes to Morrow, he could see him playing in a variety of roles.
"When Brenden Morrow gets in there...he's certainly going to see some time on Malkin's wing with James Neal," he said. "But I also think you'll see him play with Brandon Sutter on a third line role."
Bylsma actually played against Morrow when he was in the league and provides a unique perspective on what he can do out there.
The guys also talked with Bylsma about their winning streak superstitions, their 2-1 win over the Flyers, as well as the speech Tomas Vokoun made to the team the last time they played in Philadelphia and how it fired the team up.
