CW Renews "The Carrie Diaries," "Arrow," "ANTM,"Supernatural," And Others
A week before its Upfront presentation to Madison Avenue buyers, the CW has announced which shows are being picked up for another season, and which shows are being cancelled. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Veteran shows like Supernatural, will remain in their fall line-up as well as freshman shows like The Carrie Diaries. In addition, they have also announced a few new shows that will premiere over the fall. Joining the previously ordered show The Originals, a spinoff the popular show The Vampire Diaries, the CW has ordered four more pilots to series.
Here's a look at the CW's new additions and cancellations:
Veteran shows:
America's Next Top Model -- renewed for 20th cycle
Hart of Dixie (in its second season) -- renewed for third season
Nikita (in its third season) -- renewed for abbreviated fourth season
Supernatural -- renewed for ninth season
The Vampire Diaries -- renewed for fifth season
Freshman shows:
Arrow -- renewed for second season
Beauty and the Beast -- full-season; renewed for second season
The Carrie Diaries -- renewed for second season
Cult -- canceled
Emily Owens, M.D.-- canceled
