CVS Requiring ID To Buy Nail Polish Remover
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - There's a new policy at several pharmacy stores catching shoppers off guard, they're getting carded for buying nail polish remover.
Some CVS Pharmacy stores in Pittsburgh are now carding people under the age of 18 who buy nail polish remover.
The nail polish remover contains acetone, which is also used to make methamphetamine.
CVS tells KDKA some of their stores began requiring I.D. a couple weeks ago.
"A lot of people polish their nails under the age of 18, so that could be very inconvenient for them," one shopper said.
CVS says it's a store policy, and that the store is in the process of implementing the policy nationwide.
