Crosby Leaves Team To See Specialist
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Sidney Crosby continues to recover from concussion-like symptoms for the second time in his career.
According to the Penguins' website, Crosby has left the team to visit Dr. Ted Carrick.
Dr. Carrick specializes in chiropractic neurology and treated Crosby back in August.
During an interview on Friday, Crosby indicated that he was still having problems with his motion and balance.
Crosby has not played since Dec. 5 after a collision with Boston's David Krejci left him with concussion-like symptoms.
Crosby recently traveled with the team to Florida, where the Penguins snapped a six-game losing streak with consecutive wins over the Panthers and Lightning.
He did participate in team's morning skate before the game against the Panthers, but there is no timetable for his return.
The Penguins will be back in action Tuesday night when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at 7 p.m.
