Crosby Cleared For Contact At Practice
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Sidney Crosby has been cleared for "full contact" in practice, taking another step closer to returning to the Penguins' lineup.
Crosby was wearing a black helmet during the team's morning skate, the same color as the rest of his teammates. He had previously been wearing an alternate color helmet, signaling that he was off limits.
Following the skate, the Penguins captain confirmed the news that he has been cleared for contact in practices only.
There is still no word on when he could play in his first game.
Crosby has been suffering from concussion symptoms since Jan. 6. He participated in training camp and has been skating with the team at practices.
The Penguins are set to take on the Washington Capitals tonight at the CONSOL Energy Center.
