Crews Hit Gas Line In Carrick
CARRICK (KDKA) -- Crews were called to Carrick this morning after a contractor reportedly struck a gas line.
According to emergency officials, it happened around 9 a.m. along Overbrook Drive and a gas smell filled the nearby area.
Columbia Gas crews shut off the gas service and no injuries were reported.
Officials say crews checked the gas readings at both Concord Elementary School and Carrick High School and gave an all clear.
However, emergency officials say students at Concord Elementary School were dismissed early as a precaution.
