Crafton Carjacking Suspect Sought
CRAFTON (KDKA) - Police are looking for a carjacking suspect in Crafton.
The incident happened in the parking lot of the Crafton-Ingram Shopping Center around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
"The woman exited the Busy Beaver, went to her car," Crafton Police Chief Mark Sumpter said. "She was approached by a white male who struck her across the back of the head with an unknown object and took the keys to her vehicle and the vehicle."
She was taken to the hospital, but was later released.
The suspect is described as a white male of average height. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a hooded sweatshirt. He got away in the victim's 2007 red Jeep Cheroke Laredo.
Anyone who sees the stolen vehicle with Pennsylvania license plate HBZ-1666 is asked to call police.
