Couple Narrowly Gets Out Of Way When Car Crashes Into Butler Co. Restaurant
JACKSON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A car crashed into a restaurant in Butler County during the lunch hour on Friday.
The accident smashed the front, glass window and knocked down bricks at the Jackson Fish Company.
Manager Andy Courson says it sounded like a small explosion.
He says a couple was sitting right where the car came crashing through, and a woman had joked that the driver of the car must want to park inside the restaurant before they realized they needed to get out of the way.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Co-owner Paul Tebbets says the driver, an elderly man, is a regular at the restaurant.
Courson says the driver told police his foot slipped off the brake and may have hit the gas.
The restaurant was closed Friday night for repairs, but they plan to reopen Saturday at 2 p.m.
