Couple Charged After Infant Is Found Dead In Butler Twp. Motel
BUTLER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- There are new details in the death of an infant found at a Butler County motel and the charges filed against the little boy's parents.
The body of 5-week-old James Victor, Jr. was found at the Super 8 Motel on Route 8 in Butler Township.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy Saturday. So far, the results have not been released.
Police searched for the infant's parents, James Victor and Nicole Dull, after a housekeeper at another motel, the Avalon Inn in Allegheny County, found a note indicated that the couple might harm themselves following the boy's death.
According to investigators, the couple told authorities their son died in his sleep early Wednesday at their home in West Deer Township, and they feared they would be blamed.
Victor and Dull were reportedly already involved with Allegheny County CYF.
The couple is facing charges of abuse of a corpse, concealing a child's death and criminal conspiracy. Officials say more charges could be filed.
They are being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
