County Continues To Crack Down On Drink Tax
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Two more Allegheny County bars are getting padlocked after failing to pay the drink tax.
The county treasurer's office announced that the Blind Pig on East Carson Street on the South Side and Steve's Inn in Oakmont will close Friday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
Officials say the Blind Pig owes Allegheny County more than $4,000 for the Alcoholic Drink Tax and Steve's Inn owes more than $8,000.
Steve's Inn was padlocked before in August 2011.
So far, 37 establishments have been closed for failing to pay their drink taxes.
