Coroner Identifies 3 Victims Killed In I-80 Wreck
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Three people who were killed in a massive crash on Interstate 80 in Venango County Saturday afternoon have been identified.
According to the Venango County Coroner, Robert Duffy and his wife, Rita, were killed when their vehicle became pinned under a tractor-trailer.
The third person killed in the crash has been identified as Michael Maluk, 70, of Greenville.

The crash on I-80 involved as many as 70 vehicles, including several tractor-trailers.
According to officials with Venango County 911, in addition to three people being killed, up to 100 people were injured in the crash.
Robert Duffy was currently serving as the vice principal of the Franklin Regional School District's middle school. He had also worked as the assistant principal a the high school as well as in the administrative offices.
"He was always really concerned with everybody's success," said Matthew Klink, a former student. "If someone was having a problem, he'd always, rather than discipline them, he'd always try to work with them to try to work out the problem, and try to help them move forward as an individual. I always had fond memories of him."
The district released a statement Sunday afternoon:
"We are deeply saddened by this tragic and unexpected loss. Mr. Duffy was a valued member of our educational community for approximately 20 years having served as both a teacher and an administrator at the Senior High School and the Middle School. He will be missed. Our sincerest sympathies are extended to his daughter and the other members of the Duffy family. Counselors will be available beginning on Monday for staff and students who desire assistance."
